Israel Tour 2009

There were twenty of us from Harvest Baptist Church that participated in a tour of the countries of Israel and Jordan. Our journey began with a visit to Mount Nebo from where Moses viewed the land promised to the children of Israel. The next day we visited the famous city of Petra. We visited Caesarea, Mount Carmel, Valley of Megiddo where the future Battle of Armageddon will take place. Then the region of the Galilee and visited Nazareth and an exhibit of the life and town that Jesus would have known. Tuesday we visited the Mount of the Beatitudes. Next, was a visit to the ancient ruins of Caesarea, Philippi and then a sunset cruise on the Sea of Galilee. Thursday morning was spent riding a cable car to the fortress city of Masada. Friday we started touring the city of Jerusalem, beginning with the underground excavations and the Temple Mount. To see a ton of photos, Click Here

Long Time

Wow, it has been just over a year since we have updated our blog. This is mostly because we have not had much time. Many wonderful things have happened here in Guam. One of the most recent is that we sold our house and purchased another one. This house is closer to Harvest and has a little more space for all our fiestas and family time. There are a few things we want to do with the house right away. We want to update the yard and then as usual, do some cosmetic things both inside and outside the house. Mission Yap 2008

On Wednesday, April 2 we left Guam bright and early and flew to the island of Yap to visit missionaries Paul & Sherry Zimmer and Mark & Diane Zimmer. Click Here

Grandma Filipiak was here from March 22 to April 2. She was happy to leave the snow and cold temperatures behind in Michigan to come and enjoy the beach and sunshine in Guam! Click Here

Jeremy Turns 13

Geocache

About every two months we try to change what we do for family time. This weekend we decided to do some more Geocaching. It is a lot of fun as it takes us all over the island. Click Here

Perfect Peace

It seems that even on a small island of 160,000 people there are many things going on, but it is encouraging to know that there are places where we can find peace and quiet from the rush of events and projects that we face. More importantly, we can find a perfect peace no matter how busy we are when we get on our knees and listen to loving words of our Lord and Savior. Isaiah 26:3, "Thou wilt keep [him] in perfect peace, [whose] mind [is] stayed [on thee]: because he trusteth in thee."

Scenic Hike

Sea Turtle Dive

Our Trip to Taiwan and Osaka
